Motivate the Avid Angler with a Gift of Art

There's a lot more to being an Angler than most people would expect. There is a great deal of hope, optimism, and enthusiasm in the sport. There is a great focus on the technology involved, the best lures, the best baits, and where and when to fish. And, that's not all! Just think about the psychological, physical, philosophical, and humorous aspects of the sport. Yes! Anglers quite often laugh at themselves.

Some folks even attach a spiritual reverence to the sport, and perhaps rightfully so. To stand at one with nature: poised, quiet, thoughtful, and intuitive-surely qualifies the master angler to receive a high level of respect and reverence.

You can give the perfect gift from one of America's most gifted wildlife artists: Mark Susinno. Mark's talent blossomed at an early age, and allowed him to attend the prestigious Pratt Institute of New York where he graduate with highest honors. His story is quite fascinating! What started as a few simple casts of the fishing rod became an obsession for angling. He had found his niche in the world, and this love began to show up on his canvases. The rest is history, and perhaps the story is best told in his beautiful limited edition print: "The Refusal-Brown Trout".

Every angler has a legendary story about the big one that got away, or the one that wouldn't bite. However, this is just the way of nature, and there is not one angler what would have it any other way. Perhaps the greatest reason the angler fishes with others of like kind; is to share solitude with the people they care about. Give that special angler in your life a gift of art that will tell the story for years to come.

The Perfect Art Gift for the Sportsman in Your Life

If there's a sportsman in your life, chances are that a gift will be appreciated no matter what the event or season of the year. The one thing that all sportsmen and sportswomen have in common is the love of nature and wildlife. It's a great privilege to observe animals up close and personal in their natural habitat, and this often means traveling abroad to other countries.

While the rules of engagement have changed dramatically to protect wildlife and their habitat, the average sportsman or sportswoman still enjoys spending time with nature whether it's hunting, animal watching, or deep-sea fishing. Julia Rogers captures the true spirit of nature in her numbered and limited edition: "Leopard Descent". In all of her paintings, you'll readily find a realism that commands attention and the utmost respect.

It won't take you long to fall in love with this masterpiece! The powerful and stealthy leopard slowly makes its descent as it stalks its unsuspecting prey. Its agility and grace can almost be felt through the painting. Julia was able to nurture her talent twofold: Her mother was an artist, and her father a wildlife enthusiast. Through extensive travel, she was able to observe animals in their natural habitat. There are usually several major factors that come together that allows great talent to be developed and expressed. When this happens, a great talent like Julia Rogers emerges and takes the art world by storm.

Her works will be the perfect gift for the sportsman that appreciates the beauty and balance of nature.

Finding the Right Art Gifts for the Bird Lover

Shopping for the avid bird lover may not be as difficult as you think. You might consider parrot jewelry, large neon signs, parrot signs, wall sculptures, parrot mini quilts, birds on beach chairs, and even birds on a key chain just to name a few. However, if you're really serious about giving a gift that will be remembered, the following is a great idea.

The perfect gift to give, either to yourself or someone else, is "Birds of Paradise" by Tiefeng Jiang. This is great art from one of China's most talented artists. Tiefeng Jiang is from the province of Zhejiiang, and gets his inspiration from the richly adorned tropical birds from the country of Vietnam. There are also a number of cultures that have influence his work from the same area.

It's natural to develop such vibrant and rich techniques when the backdrop is filled with lush, exotic flora and fauna-as is found in his homeland. His works are very thought provoking and engaging. It's also evident that an inner revolution was taking place in the development of his technique and approach. In each of his paintings, there is something dynamic taking place that grabs the observer's attention and refuses to let go.

This is artwork for the serious art lover, and will make a huge impact on any room décor. Without a doubt, this can be the centerpiece and main focus of attention in any room setting. This is truly the kind of artwork that commands respect, and becomes inspirational from the very moment it finds a place in your home.

The Right Piece Can Wake up Your Room

Art and mirrors can bring life and energy to any room. It can also change the entire ambiance of a room. If you know how to cleverly place pictures in certain ways, you can create an entire new look and feel. Placing pictures, wall ornaments, or mirrors strategically, will help to make any room look "lived" in. Your own unique personality is also injected into the room.

Every room has an "accent", and color pictures and prints serve to compliment the connection. You don't think about it, but paintings and pictures help to absorb the noise in a room. If you're painting a room, and all the furniture and pictures are removed, it's quite easy to hear your own echo. The right type of artwork can also help you achieve the illusion of length.

You can also liven up any room by pulling rearranging the furniture. Try pulling the furniture out from the walls and positioning at intriguing angles. When you have a piece of interesting art on the wall, make sure there is furniture right there to compliment it. Plants and greenery will always add a breadth of fresh air to any room. You can also lay down an area rug, which is also a great way of defining a conversation area.

Even mirrors can add to the personality of a room if positioned to reflect an object of interest. If you have collectibles, they can be grouped together to show off your personality. Finally, there's no reason you can't add an attractive Afghan or Throw. They will have the same effect as decorative pillows, and will also serve to add texture to your furniture. It only takes a little imagination to live up any room.

Art For Autumn Décor

Autumn is right around the corner, and it's the perfect time of the season to plan for this special time of year. Autumn is that season when the earth bursts forth in full expression in rustic colors, and days are sunny and the nights cool and crisp. Why not let your home celebrate the autumn as well by the perfect art décor to match.

For many people, it usually involves raking leaves and gathering firewood for the winter fireplace. Even the squirrels are unusually busy gathering food for the impending season that will surely follow. Terry Redlin captures the spirit of the season in her hand signed and numbered limited edition artist proof print: "Autumn Evening".

The family is gathered outdoors, and they are all busy about the task of raking leaves. The neighbors are all home, and the evening lights are turned on one by one in this peaceful neighborhood. And, it's a common and safe practice to burn the leaves right there in the street. Now, that's something that will bring back memories of long ago! It's this kind of artwork that sets the tone in any room: inspiring reflection and relaxation for the entire family.

It's also the kind of art that you can build an entire theme around. It usually starts with a beautiful or intriguing work of art on the wall, and then the inspiration strikes to balance the rest of the room with same type of energy. Before long, you'll be motivated to busy yourself with the entire home or office.

Art for the Dog Lover

Dogs offer us a wide range of emotions-love, anxiety, and curiosity-and thereby make us think they possess the full array of human emotions. When you really think about it though, aren't the emotions mentioned really the most important?

When we arrive home, they dance with joy and put their heads on our knees. And, when they look lovingly up into our eyes, we feel a sensation of love and loyalty. So what if the world doesn't care, we have our dogs to fill in the gaps. Who knows? That loving look might just be man's best friend telling us they're hungry!

Dogs are pretty good at reading or emotions too. They've learned to respond to our emotions, and that makes us happy. This is perhaps the biggest reason whey we don't let hamsters or squirrels run loose in the house. It's a good exchange; we love them and get a lot love in return.

They also help us to make important social decision in our lives. If you're guy, it's a well- established fact that you had better impress her dog if you want the relationship to flourish-and vice versa. Who knows, maybe dogs have evolved to the point of being great mimicking human emotion. Whatever the case, it really doesn't matter in the bigger scheme of things. Dogs will be in our lives as long as boys have fishing poles and fish to catch in a winding country stream.

Since we've given them human-like status, the perfect gift of any dog lover is the engaging and charming print by Bill Bullas: "The Nerd Dogs". This just about sums up their entire personality, and what they really mean to us.

Art for the Cat Collector

Cats are interesting creatures to say the least, and they come in as many sizes, colors, and shapes imaginable. People have debated for centuries over whether cats can be taught to do tricks, or if they can really fit into the classification of being intelligent. However, for the cat lover, these things are unimportant. We can love cats simply for being what they are.

Cats provide a loving presence, and maybe it's just the feeling of a cat cuddling up next to you that symbolizes love and warmth. It doesn't hurt to feel that wonderful vibration when cats purr either! And, just think of the joy you feel when your cat is had a tasty meal. There's nothing better than watching a cat lick its whiskers. When that happens, somehow it makes life feel good through and through.

Cat's can be of tremendous help if a person is sick or under the weather too. They seem to intuitively sense the need for a person's attention, and in giving it in their own unique way; they serve a wonderful purpose in making that person somehow feel better. Be on the lookout though! Cat's are legendary for being finicky, and it's this almost human-like quality that makes them so endearing.

Cats live long lives, and we can enjoy them for many years. Often, the passing of a cat is equivalent to losing a loved one. Steve Hank's limited edition, "The Cat's Lair", is the perfect celebration of those little animals we just can't seem to live without.

Make a Limited Edition Print the Perfect Gift!

A print can be the perfect gift, but finding the right print as a gift for a special occasion can be a challenge. Some good rules of thumb are as follows: You should always pick a gift that fits a person's lifestyle. Delve into whether they like decorative prints, or if they prefer prints that border more on the conservative side of art.

Do they love animals, or are they more the outdoors type and attracted to the change of seasons? Inquire if they like to play cards, collect clocks, mouse pads, or collect home décor items. Is the person you have in mind an amateur sportsman or woman, or are do they "cut their teeth" in watching or participating in sports? The list of possibilities can be endless, and it will be up to you to narrow down the choices.

The biggest thing to remember is to keep the search fun, as the search will actually open up your knowledge about who that person really is. Once you've narrowed your search, you should also take into consideration the type of setting your print gift will be placed in. If you're personally familiar with the recipient, you can make a reasonable guess. If on the other hand you're not as familiar with a person's private home settings, it won't hurt to inquire from those that might have the "inside" scoop.

A safe bet can be wildlife print, and the perfect place to start is with the acclaimed work of David A. Maass. His fine art limited edition print "Tomahawk Trail-Pheasant" would make the perfect gift. Very few people can reject the beauty of nature, and this work of art captures perfectly the essence of something we all want to preserve.

Summertime is here, and hopefully the living will be easy. Why not celebrate with the beautiful hand signed artwork of Sueellen Ross. "Summertime and Living is Easy" is the perfect suite to celebrate the long awaited summer, and compliment your art collections.

You can tell that the artist has a strong love for animals, and the result is an exceptionally strong and appealing design using watercolor, India Ink, and pencil. The love of painting comes natural, and her two cats are no doubt inspiring. There's an almost "playful" attitude that she's able to bring to bare in all of her works. And, it's this spirit of pureness and realism that touches the heart of those that love animals.

The Impact of Realism

David Ward is a master when it comes to capturing realism and uncanny detail. He has an impressive background, and has lived and worked in Mexico, Southwest Africa, Guatemala, and England. Many of his paintings hang in corporate and private collections the world over. "A Boy and His Dog" is a perfect example of his ability to paint a picture that looks as if it had been taken by a camera.

You can see the very ripples in this placid lake, and the reflections in the water couldn't have been painted more realistically. The dog watching its master leave is a scene played out thousands of time in daily life. This is a handsome work of art, that will perfectly with any type of decorating theme.

David fits perfectly into the group of artists that have made the successful transition from the commercial world into that of painting full time. For him, success and fame soon followed, and he is able to spend the quality time it takes for his art to transcend to another level. He presently lives in Canada where the natural beauty of the country is a continual inspiration for his realistic work.

Your art collection won't be complete until you have something by David Ward hanging from the wall. There is something so say about an artist that paints with such striking detail-and what's being said easily falls within the realm of intense admiration. Modern Art Made Simple

At first glance, you may not be sure what to make of Julia Ogden's artistic talents. It doesn't take long however, to make the distinction that she is a talented artist. Her hand signed and Limited Edition Giclee "Cream Field I" suggests something quite beyond the art itself. It's unique to say the least, and becomes a powerful focal point of ones attention. It's modern, futuristic, colorful, and somehow manages to convey a sense of purpose.

The colors are vibrant, and will compliment virtually any color scheme. Her talent allows her to space perfectly. The artwork is balanced, and has enough substance to make each work of art complete within itself. This balance immediately transcends the paintings and becomes the theme of the surrounding spaces.

Julia's background is in both art and literature, and this is perhaps why each of her creations seems to tell a story. You can choose from a vast array of handsome framing options that include honey oak, dark walnut, cherry, driftwood, and antique gold to name a few. And, the prints will ship within 3 to 9 days. If you're ordering a "custom framed" product, additional time may be required.

Whatever package you choose, you'll have plenty of time to make a place for the intriguing artwork of Julia Ogden. You'll be able to spend hours pondering what makes the artist "tick". And perhaps this curiosity about the artist, even more than the artwork itself, is what creates notable acclaim for her unique gift of expression.

Locked in Combat

You can almost feel the thunder of two mammoth elephants as they interlock in fierce combat! The scene is so real that it can be mistaken for a photograph. Such is the realism that is contained in the fine art work of Joshua Spies. "Raging Bulls" is a striking print that will compliment the décor of any wildlife collector.

Joshua Spies is a truly gifted artist, and his accomplishments are already legendary for an artist his age. His wildlife subjects take him near and far across the globe, and the awareness level, of the importance of wildlife preservation, is raised by anyone who glimpses his works. Joshua Spies lives in the tradition of some of the finest artists in the world-far away from the crowd and off the beaten path. Watertown South Dakota is presently where he takes up residence, and no doubt draws inspiration from the stirring beauty of his hometown.

Today's families face a lot of stress in the world, and there are long hours spent at the office, sports practices for the kids, and late dinners. This is why it's important to be surrounded by the things that allow us to draw a sense of contentment from within. There is a great deal of emphasis in getting the outdoors approach to interior design, and the "lodge look" is considered in. While few have the money to make those retreats to those pine mountain lodges whenever the mood strikes, on can, with a little imagination and planning, find the right combination of print art that can be the center piece of any home or office theme. The work of Joshua Spies is an excellent place to begin.

Investing in the Home

Homeowners are fixing up the homestead and opting to place their hard-earned dollars in their largest investment-their home. And, the home improvement embellishments range from crown moldings and ceiling tiles-to pocket doors and lavish windows. If you're in the designing mood, the one thing you can do is keep it simple and consider the prints and paintings that will compliment whatever the mood or theme in your home or office.

Jon Crane has the perfect selection of fine watercolors that will set the tone no matter what the season. His handsigned print "Snowy Day", depicts a beautiful secluded cabin scene. You can almost hear the snow as it is falling in the quiet woods. This is finely detailed print, and is typical of the magic that Jon spins on canvas. Over-sized, and nostalgic landscapes are his trademark, and it doesn't hurt to come from a family of talented and notable artists either. His great-great grandfather, was a well known Civil War artist.

Bringing the openness of rural American into your home, through beautiful artwork and prints, is a great way of sprucing up your living spaces form the inside out. For many people, their home is the biggest investment they may make in a lifetime. A solid investment in fine art can be the catalyst that starts you down the road of taking care of the things most near-and dear. And, what better place to begin than with the fine art of Jon Crane!

The Feeling and Color of an Avantdil

If your tastes run towards artworks that tell a story with vibrant colors and dashing figures, you will find the work of Avantdil will fit the bill for what you're looking for.

An exception piece is found in the artwork titled, "Tango Argentina". This large sized print measures in at 40" x 40" and it is part of a very limited edition that is hand numbered and signed by the artist himself. There are only twenty prints in the entire series and it is printed in the style of embellished giclee on canvas.

The artist's style of this painting is impressionist but it also has elements that make up cubism and abstract as well. The colors are rich and detail in this richly stroked piece will lend something new almost every time you gaze up on this impressive piece. The giclee on canvas gives the artwork a very authentic look and with the texture on the canvas, many people will assume it is an original piece.

Avantdil is a popular artist that is collected far and wide. Some of his notable patrons include the United States Ambassador to Georgia, the Governor of the Republic of Adjaria, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, and the President of International Lyons Club.

If you don't already have an Avantdil in your personal art collection, consider adding this vibrant piece as a beautiful impact piece to your decor.

Old World Elegance on Your Walls

The elegance of the old world can be found in the most simplistic everyday things around us. The everyday flower and teacup transform into something magnificent with her skillful touch. "Evening Symphony", is a fine limited edition print that you will relish for a long time to come. It is reminiscent of the long hours that go into the crafting of a fine musician-or that of any other profession.

Saia, takes her art seriously, and approaches her craft as if it were a form of meditation. The more she practices her art, the more clearly she sees the world around her; and this insight is readily seen in her delicate paintings that are nothing short of inspirational.

It does not hurt to grow up in the rustic and wide -open spaces of rural Wisconsin either! There is something beautiful and wholesome that takes hold of a soul in these types of environments. Saia feels that the creation of at is not a process that can readily be learned in a classroom. Yes, the theories and techniques with diligent study perhaps can be. However, the true inspiration that accompanies pure creativity comes from deep within.

This fine honed philosophy can be seen in every one of her paintings and sketches, and is her most eloquent driving force. Making a difference in the world by giving back through one's talent is an enriching experience, and brings us closer to the "truth" of all things. You can own a piece of Saia's wonderful world by creating a collection of her fine prints and limited editions.

Fine Dining and Glassware

The term fine dining is generally used to describe a restaurant or atmosphere that tends to create a serious dining experience. There will usually be a great location and view that compliments the restaurants overall theme. The service strives to be impeccable, with chefs and a service crew from the best culinary schools available.

Perhaps you may not be able to enjoy this type of atmosphere as often as you would like, but you certainly bring the dream close to home by owning the Thomas Stiltz, numbered, and limited edition: "Champagne of Kings". You will find an extraordinary presence of light and form in his works. He does a wonderful job of accenting the ordinary things in our everyday lives by evoking deep feelings and emotions.

The emphasis on detail is stunning, and you can tell this is a man that takes his time when enjoying a fine meal with friends or family. It is obvious that he takes the same care and concern when crafting images of wine and glass. Like the famous wines that take years to age, his process of painting is patient, and utilizes old world techniques using many layers to build up the painting surface. The effect is nothing short of amazing and stunning!

Entertain your family and friends with the fine works of Thomas Stiltz. The artwork alone will do a superb job of setting the proper mood. And, when artwork rises to this level, it is nothing short of being a masterpiece.

Mystery on the Stairs

You can add a little mystery and intrigue to any home or office setting with the moody work of Gilberte Brassai. "Stairs, Momartre, Paris", is an interesting take on stairs that seem to wind their way downward, and disappearing into the night. It may take some time to get used to the effect, but is perfect for the individual looking to create the perfect balance of transparency and intrigue in their home.

His work almost has a "film Noir" them associated with it, and on every print, one almost expects something mysterious to occur. If you have a similar theme in your artwork at present, this is the perfect print to set the mood for things to come. Gilberte Brassai was an individual that felt that even the most mediocre photograph had something significant to say to the world. Thus, when you obtain one of his works, you will quickly realize that his pictures "speak" volumes. And, such a tour de force will need the perfect compliment in furniture.

Soft leather furniture can be a great anchor for the works of Gilberte, and with the price of leather falling in recent years; accented pieces are far more affordable. Leather also has a sensuous quality surrounding it. Its durability is also well known. If properly treated, it can outlast upholstered furniture with a life span of 15 to 20 years.

Almost done! Other accents are green ferns and flowers that heighten the mystery mood of Giberte Brassai's works. Now, you are ready to give the perfect tribute to the famous Frenchman by entertaining in style.

Embracing the Wide Open Places

Some of the most stunning and beautiful scenery can be found in the wide-open spaces of America. Bountiful wildlife, and exquisite scenery of equine images are the trademarks of Chris Cummings. "Josie", is a beautiful hand signed and numbered limited edition that will bring the very outdoors into your home.

That the artist is in love with nature-is apparent. Chris Cummings was fortunate to grow up on acreage that borders the Santa Cruz Mountains, and this closeness to nature is evident in her paintings and drawings. Majoring in wildlife biology, and minoring in fine art also plays an important role in her ability to bring the intimate scenes of nature vividly to life.

It is great to have a theme when you decorate with paintings and photos. Everything does not have to match, but if you can create a unifying aspect in your choices, the entire atmosphere of your home will be enhanced. Your chosen theme should be centered on a focal point in our home. The focal point is usually the largest object in a room or setting. If you cannot find the obvious focal point, then your paintings or floral arrangements can do the trick.

Equine artwork generally works best when the unifying theme is complimentary, and if you love horses, the works of Chris Cummings are the perfect gift for yourself or anyone that shares your sentiments. Horses on the wide-open spaces of the country convey to all of us a sense of freedom, and you can experience that wonderful feeling up close and personal when you purchase any one her fine limited editions.

A Movie Room for Your Home

Have some extra space in your home that you don’t know what to do with? Are you a movie buff, and a lover of classic films and Hollywood legends? How about creating a movie room? As far as the decor goes, a perfect way to create that perfect space is to pay homage to classic Hollywood. Go black and white! Of course, there are several shades of gray in between. Choose furniture in black, or gray, that’s big and comfy to relax on while watching your favorites. Long, extra wide, extra fluffy couches and recliners are the perfect choice for this type of space. Choose tables and shelving that is sleek, and smooth.

Try painting the walls a medium to dark gray color, with black accents. You could even hang curtains on the walls to "frame" the entertainment center. This will help make the area look like the old theaters that we rarely get to see anymore. Use lots of satin finish metal, and glass for surfaces. Track lighting, or strategically placed spot lights are good choices for lighting, and will really enhance the room if you put them on a dimmer switch, so that the lights can go down when the movie starts!

Of course, for the artwork, one of the best choices you can make is framed art depicting Hollywood classic movies and stars of the golden era. Why not start with the ultimate legend among actresses, Marilyn Monroe? Try this framed art print "Summertime Marilyn" on for size!

How To Create a Relaxation Room

These days, life is all fast paced and full of stress. It's all about how quickly you can get things done. Everything has to be bigger and better and faster. In times like these, I think we often forget to slow down, and relax. Instead of turning your spare room into an office (why bring your work home AND dedicate a whole space to it?) or a guest room, turn it into a relaxation room. A room like this is a perfect place to calm down, mellow out, and relieve yourself of all the stressors in your life. It’s a place for tranquility and release.

Use colors that will help promote tranquility, cool colors that promote restfulness. Blues, greens, and light purples are great color choices. Keep the room uncluttered, but comfortable. You don't want the room to be bare though, one piece of art on the wall that helps you to escape and feel relaxed is good. One example of such a piece of art would be Maria Sherbina's "Gladiolas". This piece is beautiful, and tranquil. Other things to include in your room would be a CD player, water fountain, face masks, soft blankets, and a comfy chair. Books, bottled water, and even some candles or plants are good choices as well. Things that you do not want to put in a relaxation room would include phones, televisions, computers, or fax machines. These things are a connection to the world that causes stress, you don't want them in the very place where you are trying to release that stress.

Creating a Warm Italian Vineyard Themed Kitchen

The "Tuscan" theme is all the rage these days for kitchens. It’s easier than ever to find the perfect items to help you bring this dream kitchen into reality. It seems like everywhere you turn there are items designed for this theme in a kitchen. But how do you create an original space using this theme, while still keeping your space warm and inviting?

Warm colors are a must. The kitchen, at least in Italy, is generally the center, the heart of the home. This is the room people typically congregate in, to share laughter and stories, share home-cooked meals, and generally enjoy each other’s company. Choose from the warm palette; warm rustic reds, tans, browns, and mustard-y yellows work very nicely. A faux finish technique on the walls would also look lovely! For an even more "old world" style, consider using a wallpaper or appliqué that resembles brick behind the stove, or perhaps a scenic wall appliqué.

If you have a long wall that is just begging for something to adorn it, a long horizontal hanging piece of art, such as Randy Peyton’s: "Midday at the Vineyards" would be a perfect choice. This will set the mood for the rest of your space, and might even help a smaller space feel larger than it actually is.

Finish off your room with some accessories, like some wine bottles, antiqued or rustic hardware, and attractive window treatments. A warm wall plaque with a saying about family, friends, or food would be a nice touch as well. The goal is to create a space that is attractive, but very comforting and inviting at the same time.

A Firefighter’s Room

In the homes of most firefighters, you are bound to find lots of firefighter memorabilia. This habit of collecting this memorabilia is practically a prerequisite for the job! Why not create a room, like a den, to display these things?

Obviously, red is a great color choice for the walls. A rich, warm red is a great choice. You can use it for the walls, or just for the trim. Accent sparingly with black to anchor the room. Use shelves, book cases, and even curio cabinets to help display the “stuff” collected over time! If you can get your hands on an old hydrant, or an old fire extinguisher, it’s a perfect item to turn into a side table! As for the walls, the perfect choice, the ultimate tribute piece, is T. Franklin’s “Flag Raising at Ground Zero.” It’s a great way to recognize and remember the men and women, the brothers and sisters that were lost. This is the image that is emblazoned on the minds of so many when thinking about that event.

Add some fun in the room, in the form of an entertainment center, with a tv, dvd player, and even a game system. If you can manage, add a surround sound speaker system for optimal sound. Finish off with some comfy, firehouse style furniture, like leather couches. If you can find some that are slightly distressed, it’s all the better. When you’ve completed your room, you will have a space that any firefighter would be thrilled to call his or her own!

Creating the Perfect Space for your Little Princess

Most little girls will tell you, they want to be a princess! Even though you can’t actually make her a princess, you can certainly give her a bedroom space that is fit for one! Walls, done in a soft hue, like pink, or yellow or pale lilac, are a perfect start. Window treatments that are long and dreamy are a perfect choice, or even faux window frames that make the window look like a castle’s window. Faux treatments on one wall, or a portion of all walls to look like stone would be a wonderful touch as well!

If you aren’t interested in buying a whole new bed, consider making a canopy that hangs from the ceiling above the bed. This is easily accomplished by either painting, or covering (with batting and fabric) a piece of light but sturdy wood, then attaching “curtains” of fabric to the back and attaching that to the ceiling towards the head of the bed. Little touches in the accessories for the room will go a long way too! Sweet, tiffany style lamps in matching colors, frilly throw pillows, and even a pretty rug are great touches, that won’t break the bank. Wall hangings are a great idea too. Consider a piece like the Disney Open Edition Print: Cinderella.

Cinderella is the ultimate princess as far as most little girls are concerned. What little girls wouldn’t love to snuggle in at night and see that print above the bed? This print would be a perfect finishing touch for your little princess’ room!

Is Your Bathroom Art-Worthy?

While the way a bathroom looks does not matter to some people, to others a bathroom is their true sanctuary. Of course, while nobody spends all of their relaxation time in the bathroom, there is a certain level of comfort that comes from a bathroom that happens to be put together nicely. This could mean anything from the color on the walls to the kinds of decoration that you will find on the walls, shelving and more.

If you are the type of person who likes to have people over regularly for various dinners or gatherings, it is imperative that you have a guest bathroom that has a good amount of cozy decoration. While you do not have to break the bank in order to place an expensive piece of sculpture in your bathroom, a few strategically placed prints could make a world of difference to the entire look and feel of the space.

To find the right piece of art, it is a good idea to try and look past the fact that it will be hanging in your bathroom. No matter what the room may be, any piece of art will look amazing, especially if it speaks to each of your guests on an inviting level every time they have the chance to glance at it.

Certainly a floral piece is always a smart move to make when looking for a framed art print for your bathroom. Because of the versatility of the style, you really cannot lose. A Stillness In the Woods

Have you ever been in a woodland area where it was so quiet that you could actually hear the snow cascade quietly to the earth? It may seem impossible, but there are those rare places deep in the woods where silence pervades the very ether. Imagine walking through the woods on a cold winter day. The air is crisp and clean, and neither man nor animal has disturbed the remote stillness. You walk further, and suddenly you find yourself in surreal world that is both a dream and reality.

These are moments and memories that are buried deep with us, and when we find a work of beauty that evokes long-forgotten emotions; it's only natural to be deeply drawn to it. David Lorenz Winston captures the feeling perfectly in his framed art print: "Quiet Woods". You can make this fine work of photographic art a part of your personal collection. It's great art décor for any room or setting, and can easily make any corner in your home or office the center of attention.

"Quiet Woods" is the type of art that will bring a measure of peace and quiet to any setting, and is perfect for the art admirer that marches-to- the-beat of a different drummer. And the beat is pensive and thoughtful. Great art is far more than a painting or work of photography. It defines an emotion unique to each of us, and can forever capture a moment that we can experience time and time again.

Spring Morning

Early in the morning, a Native American quietly surveys the picturesque surroundings. The nearby stream is quiet and peaceful, and all around, life is beginning to stir. Game is plenty, and the earth is filled with an awakening. Life is Good! Even the horse is filled with anticipation, and begins to quicken its pace. Robert Duncan captures the spirit perfectly in his limited edition print: "Spring Morning".

The acclaimed work of Robert Duncan captures the essence of "every day" life in peaceful and remote scenes. Children are often the central theme of his works, reflecting the innocence that can best appreciate nature's gifts. Perhaps growing up in the suburbs gave him an immense appreciation for the times he spent on his grandfather's ranch. There in the wide-open expanse, he would listen to the birds for hours, and play in nearby streams. Robert Duncan's paintings reflect an inner desire to remind us all that there are still places left in the world where nature is undisturbed by change.

Fertile fields are disappearing amid developments and urban sprawl across the land, and the mission of Robert Duncan is to preserve the things that touch lives and really matter. His work will make an excellent addition to your home's décor, no matter what the central theme. You can choose from the highest quality of hardwoods that come ready to hang with attached hardware. Robert Duncan's world can become a special part of your own. Own one or more of his fine prints today!

Mirrors On the Wall

There's more to a mirror that at first meets the eye. Mirrors are more than just something that we can see our reflections in. A mirror is anything that reflects similarity or likeness. People are fascinated on a level that deals with projections and reflections: self-alienation and self-recognition, and it's rare that a person can bypass the opportunity at looking at an image of themselves. It's fun to observe people looking in a storefront window, or watch them as they observe a reflection of themselves in a calm body of water.

Whatever the individual fascination with mirrors, no one will argue that a mirror can bring life to any room. If properly placed, they can visually expand a condensed area, and create colorful moods by reflecting the natural light in a room. They're perfect for reflecting the warm glow of a fireplace, or the reflection of a beautiful outdoors setting. It is the one piece, when placed in a room that can immediately add depth and character.

Basket Art

There is a simplistic beauty found in the art of basket weaving that has been expressed through the centuries form cultures all over the world. Perhaps we love woven baskets of all kinds because of our inner acknowledgement that a "thing" so simple-can have so much meaning in our lives. We use baskets to carry food, tools, flowers, fishing tackle, and just about anything we can place inside of them that will fit.

The artwork of acclaimed artist Arnie Fisk is a testament to our fascination with the woven basket. His work is simple, and yet reminds us of the little things we cherish in life. "Well Traveled", is an art print that takes us back in time with a central theme of two old suitcases, two books, and a basket filled with balls of yarn. When John Banovich paints, he describes the experience as completely losing track of time, and getting into a perfect rhythm that he calls "the dance".

He compares painting to the art of filmmaking. He sees the similarity in that both arts are able set a stage and introduce characters that stand out. An expert at utilizing space, he is able to effectively bring out only the most important aspects in his paintings. John Banovich is well aware of the environments that his subjects thrive in, and this allows him to give his subjects immense personality and presence. Using the mediums of both oils and acrylics, he's able to capture the very drama of life as it plays out in the world of nature.

There in the bushes, a lion waits quietly with her cubs as they survey the surrounding area lying unseen in the tall grasses. Here in the wild, a natural drama unfolds, and the fate of each creature's life hangs in the balance. "Heart of The Pride" is an inspiring limited edition that captures the very essence of the life on the African Plains. This will make a fine collection piece in any home or office, and bring the incredible diversity of Africa where it can be truly appreciated. Own it today, and experience the work of a master that will surely linger vividly in your imagination.

The Mystique of Lighthouses

For countless centuries, cultures have used various methods of guiding the safe return of sea-faring vessels. The Egyptians first built lighthouses, and they are credited with having built the tallest lighthouse over 2000 years ago. It stood a magnificent 900 feet tall, and guided ships safely into port for over 1500 years. The Phoenicians, Greeks, and Romans followed suit, and built their own versions that withstood the test of time.

The ancient lighthouses used wick lamps as their source of light, but were effective even though the light was only for several miles off shore. The 1800's was a time for invention and discovery, and the first modern lighthouse lens is credited to a man named Augustin Fesnel. Such is the way of history! Perhaps, the love of lighthouses gathers its true mystique from being the guiding light that shows us the way home.

You can bring the fascination of lighthouses right into your very home with the awe-inspiring print of Jean Guichard titled "Phare de Slyne Head, Galway Irlande". You can almost hear the waves crashing against the ancient crags. This is a vision that beckons from another time and place, and you may find yourself lost in a world far away as you gaze upon it. . It's very common for people to collect them as memorabilia, or to wear them as emblems on a favorite piece of clothing. The lure of lighthouses is almost spiritual, and their hypnotic effect often cause people to climb hundreds of stairs to see a view of the world from the top.

Amish Sabbath

It's the Sabbath, and on a cold winter day, the Amish gather their horse-drawn buggies together at days end. Tomorrow is a new day! Donald Patterson has captured the moment perfectly in his painting "Amish Sabbath". The lives of the Amish are without complexity, and guided by a set of rules known as Ordnung. These rules dictate the life of an Amish individual in almost every aspect, from farming technique, to the length of his or her hair. These are also the rules by which they form their communities.

There is simplicity in everything the Amish stand for, and even the clothing represents a unique humility and lifestyle that is removed form the world. You can celebrate the life of the Amish with Donald Patterson's framed art print "The Sabbath". This is a beautiful 26" x 36" painting that arrives with your choice of navy or gray, and you're sure to be impressed as well with the attractive Rosewood frame it's housed in. You can proudly place this memento on the wall the moment it arrives.

Good art can set the tone of any room in a home. It also says something about the people that live there. How you arrange your furniture and the artwork you choose to surround yourself with; is really an expression of what you're saying to the world about your own unique style and philosophy. Let's fact it! We can all use a little simplicity and beauty in our lives, and the right art can be the perfect catalyst.

Art for the Jazz Lover

No lover of jazz is complete without the artwork that fits not only the décor of a room: but that of a life as well. Just as a room can be filled with colors and patterns that shift and move with a resident theme, so does the jazz lover seek to find works of art that define how he or she moves through the concourse.

Whether you're a seasoned collector, or just beginning to feel the groove, the right work of art décor can make your home a happening place. Take for instance the "Jazz Cello!" This is modern art that defines the essence of a musician lost in a world all his own. Perhaps it's Miles waiting to showcase in the background. On the other hand, our character in the painting might be warming up to accompany the thunder of McCoy Tyner. Whatever the nature of his gig, this piece will enhance and bring out the best qualities of any room in your home or office.

The art is framed under glass and uses a number of design elements that include high quality moulding, mats, and filets. The attached hardware also makes it easy to install on any wall in the home. "Jazz Sax" is also a great piece that captures the essence of the Sax. With a little imagination, you can be right there on the set with Coltrane as he glides through the tempo of his signature sax sound.

Art can enhance and bring life to any setting, and the fine artwork of "Jazz Sax" and "Jazz Cello" will serve to compliment any life well defined.

Experience the Vibrant Colors of Ethnic Art

It might be termed ethnic art, but it's an artistic expression that all cultures can enjoy and appreciate. Dorit Levi conveys the joy of life in a unique synthesis of colors and images that flow form the canvas in all of her works. You can tell she's influenced by such greats as Picasso and Braque. The great ones, however, learn from the masters and then develop a style uniquely their own. "Ethnic Music Players" is a limited edition serigraph that you'll be proud to display. The colors are magnificent, and the longer you gaze at this piece, extreme talent begins to take on a whole new meaning. Just keep in mind that when you order, if it's a custom framed product, and may take 3-4 weeks delivery.

"Jazz Trio" is another great piece that can compliment your collection. Justin Bua brings to life the essence of what a jazz trio is all about, and the players on this set all look as if they can take the
lead anytime. There's a definite fluidity that catches the eye, as each jazz musician seems to bend and move with a groove that jumps right out of the picture. This is an art print that will look great in any room setting, and will add definite flare to that jazz party you've been thinking about hosting.

Justin Bua takes the tempo up a notch with "The Jazz Quintet". You're right there in a quaint jazz club, as the pianist, sax man, drummer, bass player, and lead singer keep the tempo fluid and sweet until the wee hours of morning. Make it a point to own the entire collection. Great art is a thing of beauty.

Art Collections for the Avid Golfer

While horse racing may be the sport of kings, golf is quite often a pastime of the frustrated. It's a challenging pastime, but it is the kind of activity that can make any sports person feel like an amateur. No matter what your level of play though, having the right artwork can bring you a little bit closer to the winner's circle. Who knows, perhaps having artwork that inspires shooting under par will help you visualize that winning putt, or inspire that 300-yard drive off the tee.

Why not start with the fine art prints of Larry Dyke? "Ocean Challenge" will remind you of the times you put the ball in the drink, and had to use your last "mulligan" to stay even par. Let's face it though; golf is much more than a game. It's the one sport where one has to rely solely on one's own skills and talents. It reminds us that we not only have to hone our talents to play well on the course, but also the tools and skills that will help us win the game of life.

The beautiful limited addition "Morning at the Sixteenth" is where we should all be in the late hours of the morning. This is a stunning work of beauty that every art lover can enjoy that enters your home or office. We've all been there before, winding down the golf day and taking a moment to admire the perfectly manicured greens, the crystal blue-sky overhead, and the colorful foliage.

Why not bring the inspiring artwork of Larry Dyke's handsome collection into your home or office for everyone to share and enjoy!

The Art of Africa

When one thinks of Africa being captured on canvas, the first name that comes to mind is John Banovich. It's not hard to imagine the beauty of Montana fueling the imagination and stirring the soul of a ten-year-old boy. The effect of the vastness of nature on his early years is nothing short of amazing! Being a student of zoology and art created a magical synthesis that is seen and felt in every stroke of his brush. "Great White" is a powerful print that captures a moment of awe-inspired repose as a rhino lingers majestically. This piece is an attention grabber, and you'll be continually inspired to fathom what life on the endless plains of the African Serengeti must be like.

"The Patriarch" is an open edition canvas that gives one a sense of the natural balance that depicts the soul of Africa. The magnificent creature pauses, looks up, and with the blood racing in your veins you freeze in your tracks! A moment of potential danger has passed and you continue on your African Safari. This is the emotion you and others will experience each time you gaze at this powerful painting. It's sure to become a favorite selection in your archive.

"Reflections of Gold" is another fine limited print that will round out the art décor of any home or office. There at the river, the animals of Africa forget for a brief moment the conflict of life; and pause for a refreshing and life-giving drink. The genius of John Banovich is not only in his gift of bringing the canvas to life-but also in his ability to make you fell you're actually there.

Picasso That Doesn't Look Like a Picasso

Cubism the style that most people say leaps to mind when they hear the name Picasso. Cubism is a very interesting style of art that takes a common everyday object and forces the viewer of the see the object in an entirely new way. The object might be anything from a chair to a cat to a person and the painting will be broken into sections within the artwork and different angles of the object will be present.

This was the reason disjointed faces and violins with pieces around a painting were prominent in some of Picasso's early pieces as he painted in the Cubism style. What many people don't know is that isn't the only style Picasso used. He also painted a good number of portraits of everyday people living life as he experienced it. Picasso was known as a fiery tempered and hard to live with man who was able to see the beautiful in the most common of objects and everyday situations.

A great conversation piece for your walls will be Sleeping Peasants as it is not done in the Cubism style and many people upon viewing it may not believe you at first when you tell them it is a Picasso.

This framed art print is done in neutral colors and will easily match any decor. The print will arrive framed under glass and is mounted, matted and framed using archival tapes to ensure your print stays as beautiful as the first day you got it. The artwork is finished with a dustcover on the back and ready to hang.

Go ahead, get a Picasso for your walls, you can afford it and if you aren't a fan of the Cubism style, consider his softer more traditional pieces that capture a small moment in another place and time through the eyes of a very talented man.

A Gift of Love for Mom

Mother's Day is just around the corner and if you haven't already gotten your favorite lady a great gift, consider the gift of art. You love your Mom, go ahead admit it and you want to show her how very special she is to you. Consider an art piece that says it for you each and every time she sees it.

A sculpted heart to sit next to her bed or on a favorite table where Mom relaxes will be a constant reminder that she is loved. If your Mom is a collector if items you can also give her something to add to her collection. A Mom that has a collection of cows or ducks in the kitchen will love having a little sculpture that tells her just how special she is to you. You can also get her a special work of art that reflects her own individual and unique style. It's easy to get it framed to match her decor.

If your mother has a very particular sense of what she likes and doesn't like, a mirror will make an outstanding addition to her decor. Mirrors can be used to lighten rooms and also give the illusion of space in a smaller room. Go for a mirror with an ornate frame to a sleek and modern look - you can get the look your Mom loves.

A gift certificate will make an ideal gift if your mom is the type that really enjoys picking out each and every item for her home herself. This is a great way to ensure that she gets a gift she will love and a piece of artwork for her home that she can cherish and enjoy for years to come.

Have a Dragon in Your Home

If you or someone you know is into the decorating style of Feng Shui, they will know the positivity that the images of dragons bring to the home. Dragons are thought to bring joy and luck to any household they grace and are often used near doorways to remove negativity and repel anyone wishing to cause the resident of the home harm.

All that aside, nothing looks more magical than a dragon. A piece of dragon art can fit in any decor from Shabby Chic to the austere Modern Eames style. There are a good number of choices for adding dragon art to your home. Go for a replica painting which to the untrained eye will look like an original apiece as even the brush strokes are plainly visible. A print matted and framed under glass will also look fantastic.

If you feel you have enough artworks hanging on your walls, think sculpture. A small dragon sculpture will look wonderful on a shelf by a winding ivy plant that mimics the curls and turns in the dragon's body or consider placing a pair of dragon sculptures on each end of a shelf or by a fireplace if you're using a Feng Shui method of decor in your room as the pair of dragons will bring harmony and balance to your room.

Don't feel that a green old Arthur style dragon is the only kind you can have. If you want a painting featuring a dragon but you're a little tired of seeing green dragons with yellow fire and not much else - check out the burst of color in Tiefeng Jiang's signed and numbered serigraph on canvas: "Dragon Bride". This outstanding piece is bright and will make a real impact on your decor.

Add a little luck to your room and add a dragon to give your abode a real conversation piece and of course, a little luck from the dragon.

Gift for the Elvis Fan

Even after all these the years, many people are still Elvis fans. Thomas Kinkade has created an outstanding piece titled, "Graceland, 50th Anniversary" and it was done not only for his own admiration of Elvis Presley, but also as a continued tribute to his wife, Nanette with the placement of five "N's" around this piece.

Thom has featured Elvis's green 1958 Cadillac El Dorado Biarritz Convertible in this painting. This car marks the entrance to Elvis's famous automobile museum. This painting was created to commemorate the fact that 50 years earlier, Elvis purchased Graceland.

In the front of this piece are Graceland's famous gates with their guitar motif that were custom built by John Dillars, Jr. of Memphis Doors and installed in 1957. Thom wanted to capture the feel of Graceland in this piece and did so beautifully. The piece was painted from an on-site sketch that was made on an autumn morning and Thom then added touches such as a likeness of the King and one of his famous cars.

Along with this piece you can choose the frame that you'd like to present it in. It will be professionally framed in the type of wood of your choosing. If this is for a gift you can closely match the frame to the wood colors of the main furnishings and give a gift that is custom made to fit into the recipent's home.

If you have an Elvis fan that you want to get a gift they will adore for years to come and as with most Kinkade pieces, there is rich detail throughout the piece making it a fantastic conversation piece.
