Have you been watching those do-it-yourself room decorating programs and thinking to yourself, "I could do that"? Well, guess what? You can and it's very simple once you get yourself organized and figure out what you need to change in your room to get the look you want.
If regal is the look you want. Think rich colors. Dark, mahogany and cherry woods. Furniture upholstered in detailed tapestry fabrics and draperies that match. Recovering most furniture takes a little time but it isn't difficult. You can get a good idea for a budget on your furniture, which will probably be the most costly aspect of your room, by simply measuring your sofa or chair and then going to your local fabric store and picking out a few upholstery fabrics. Get a few swatches so you can take them home and see how you like them in your room. What looks great under the store lighting may look less than fabulous in your home.
Next, add regal touches around your room. Scroll worked bookends finished in a rich wood tone, shelving that has a scrollwork pattern or other accent will go well beyond the boring old wooden shelf. Make Your Room Into a Tropical Paradise

Purrfectly Wonderful Cat Lover Gifts
