Many people don't want a boring square cut mirror in a square cut frame on their walls, if you want every piece on your walls and in your home to perform a function of contributing to your overall decor, you're in luck! There are a huge number of mirrors to choose from and they range in shapes and sizes from small to large and come with scroll work, round, circular and in unusual and whimsical frames.
Consider a mirror that can be as much of a work of art on your walls as your actual art pieces. Additionally, if you want to add a little something extra design, look for mirrors that have beveled edges at the frame line. It's just a little bit of extra design that will add a quiet elegance to your mirror.
In a foyer, go for a tall skinny mirror that will catch as much length as possible and when someone enters your foyer it will give the full illusion to the eyes that the area is much longer than it appears and the area will feel a lot more spacious. If you're using smaller mirrors to decorate a room - put them around a room and they will randomly expand the room in the mind's eye and give a feeling of more openness around the room rather than using one large mirror in one place only in the room. Either way works but if you have a very small space, several smaller mirrors will perform the same trick that one large mirror will perform without calling any attention to themselves besides looking beautiful on your walls.
